Help with F50 interior/console disassembly

I have searched here and Freshalloy and haven't found instructions or pics on how to spread the "pads" apart that are on the sides of the cassette deck. They block access to the side mounting screws of the tape player, which is what I am trying to get to. I saw a pic somewhere of those spread apart to get to those screws, but no instructions on how to do that. The FSM says nothing that I can find either.

If there is a thread somewhere that I missed, a link to it would be fine. Hopefully there are pics there too. I'm hoping to get my iPhone wiring in tomorrow - my plan is to wire in a cable with the 30 pin connector so I can charge it and have the audio output as well - a slight modification to the other iPod/aux hacks I read about that use the headphone jack.

Nevermind - I found it in the M45 forum under CD changer removal rather than tape removal.
