well I said I would check back in with my egr-evap system problems. when I started I had 4 codes. p3025 (ks) p1447, p1400, and whatever the charcoal canniset was..this was the problem. I learned alot and hopefully it helps others cuz I was on other forums and they had no clue even afet 50 posts. in 2001 I got an accident(rear end) and the dumskis at the body shop just thru my charcoal cannsister on upsidedown. so it wasnt connected for 6 YEARS. also teh vacuum cut valve was cracked and they didnt replace that either. the losers pocketed money for a new cannister and valve and a vaccuum cut valve (around 300$). I replaced those 2 and fixed 2 codes. so now to pass inspection im shootin a p1400. egrc solenoid valve. tested power and its fine. tested the vacuum on it and that is fine. checked wire harness etc. fine. so now what is next? check the egr itself? check the metal tubes/ tuibes for air cloggage? I think that HAS to be the problem. so basically I have to clean my egr tube. this is a 5 hour job for a master and who knows how long for me. what I would like to know is if anyone has directions on how to do so..
since my cannister was unplugged for 6 years it spread charcoal all thru my evap lines. that tube has to be filled with guck. the dealership said it a highly common problem in these cars 96 i30..they want 400 to CLEAN..im all set payin 400 to clean anything unless it was my 2007 lambhorgini diablo..
so any how to's? thx for help and I hope this helps other noobs..why spend money on new solenoids when they are fine. the car has so many sensors almost 50% its not even the sensor at all. its tubes and parts inbetween each sensor..thx your help will be appreciated..sorry for bad typin
