hey well i know most people are not a fan of chrome, and thats the route i went with my coupe and kinda starting to regret it lol..do you guys think it would be a waste to spend money to change my theme by buying a cmod grille and some new black rims to go to the black on black theme? or should i spend that money on some other mods like injen intake, ypipe, and interior/exterior leds...thanks guys

p.s. if you are interested in either my grille or rims, just let me know through an email to [email protected] tho i doubt ill have many takers lol

It looks good man! But it is totally up to you. I say looks before performance. Only because I dont race and intake/exhaust only does so much. they help, dont get me wrong, but I think looks have a bigger impact

one of the guys in my local car club asked me.. "what's with you brothers and chrome... why do ya'll like chrome so much" ... i didn't take offense at all because this was the homie, and I just responded... idon't know... guess I'm genetically predisposioned to like chrome... but hey, Arnold Schwarzenegger is the most chromed out guy in the country and he aint a brother....

anyway, my point is... if you don't like it, get rid of it.. but don't get rid of it because otehr folks don't like chrome.... as you know, I just bought the saame precision front grille that you have, but I must say, it blends more easily on my silver car, and isn't as much of a contrast as it is on your black car... so IDK, maybe that's why its bothering you so much...

also, I noted a while back that you didn't follow the directions to the T on your car regarding installing the grill..... I did, and although it took a LONG time to get it right, it looks beautiful.... no seeing the factory grill through the new one because the factory grill is gone, and the bumper brace was painted black so you can't really see that either...

in any case, good luck, if it were me, I'd just start with the performance stuff, but its your car and your call!

no, I just meant that the directions have you cut our the entire factory grill, except for about a 1/4 inch area around the edges... you then drill holes into specific spots, and install the precision grill onto the remaining outer shell of the factory grill... in doing this, the center support brace shows up, but I just painted that black, and it looks perfect...

I'm not sure if you installed your grill or you had a shop do it, but I noticed that they just put the precision grill on top of the factory grill without cutting out the majority of the factory grill... thus, you can still see the factory grill behind your precision grill...

it was a bit off topic so sorry if i confused you...

i only wish you had decided to make this change two weeks ago as that's when i bought the grille... and I would have definately gotten it off of you back then

well bro its your car so do what u want...but if it was me i would go black on black...but its all personal preference...if you want your car faster go with performance...if you want it to look different then change the color theme...i am going black on black and love how it looks so far!!

yea your coupe looks great in your sig..idk its hard..cause i know its my car and all but im afraid once i go black on black people will be like "why did u do that it looked better before" or like "wow what a waste of money"..at the end of the day who cares about them its what i think but honestly i wouldnt feel too hot if i spent money changing to hear that lol

I honestly had a chrome grille and I JUST switched it to c-mod grille- totally worth it but I think of it this way....ppl might hate on the chrome on your car, but if you perform on point whatever they have to say is just crap. =)))

normally I would def. go for performance before looks. As you can see my coupe looks relativly stock from the outside.

In your case however, I would def. start with the blk on blk theme. Mainly because I'm not a fan of chrome, but whats the point of doing perfomance upgrades when you have really heavy chrome wheels to offset the gains?

just another opinon to think about. lol probly doesn't sway you one way or the other but just wanted to share.

blk on blk is sexy

yea i live in florida and it rains all the time and my coupe has pretty bad traction in the rain..i have great tires so i think its just those huge wheels holding me back lol but yea ive decided to put my wheels and grille up for sale and see what happens from there
