It may sound dumb, but Pep Boys has two universal overflow tanks, a small and large. I kinda wanna go with the small one to be sure that it'll fit but i don't know if i NEED the large. I'm not sure if anyone's familiar with their universal tanks. I was kinda in a rush so I didn't quite get a good look at them.

Any help will be appreciated!

I looked up both the Weapon R racing and the Circuit Sports tanks but I don't have the money for either right now and I just need a tank for now, when i do switch them, because the universal ones are butt ugly, I'm still in debate over the weapon R or the CP. thanks though

Buy the circuit sports one on ebay like 70 bucks. Or if yours is bad right now and you want a temp. solution then take a 1 litre soda bottle, make a fitting for the cap and that should last a week or so until you can buy the metal one. Or just buy the generic one from pep boys, and save up for a metal one. IMO, cant afford the circuit sports one...then how do you intend on modfiying the car in the future. Pep boys doesnt stock everything...

He's right. As a matter of fact I had the same prob and figured out I had to use the bigger one. It worked for my 90 KA24E. Mounting it, however, is the prob. Its just not ever goona fit right to be high enough. I just ordered the one from circuit sports after reading this because it is the best option and I've been looking for a while. Its $95, aluminum, and it fits in the same place as the oe. Can't beat that.

The CXRacing one is 85 bucks and the exact same part. Buy it, install, headache gone.

well... you see, once i'm out of highschool.... i plan on actually having a decent job. i just wanted the car now so i would have both a ride and save the trouble of going out and looking for one really close later on haha. i found a site that sells the weapon R one for like 70 bucks but it sounds like the CS one fits better

They are...ready ready ready...THE EXACT SAME F**CKIN PEICE. Figure out the cheaper of the two and buy it. There is really no difference between the two they are the same. Both fit in oe loc. and they are both aluminum. Quite a few companies make them, they sell them on Ebay, and all over the internet for cheap.

If you want to save those $80 bucks for something better then either get a small plastic bottle like blacksrjdm said , something like a gatorade. Measure and mark the coolant levels for the low and warm levels and place it next to fuel filter. I ran like that for some two weeks and never had an overheating problem, but I was worried that it wasn't working well since the bottle will still be tilted.

In that case, what you can do is fix your cracked oem one. Go to home depot or whatever and buy some plastic repair epoxy called QuickPlastik. Its not glue, its more like clay. You mix like it was playdoh and spread it over the crack, making sure you cover it thickly and that there are no holes whatsoever. If needed you could cover the entire tank with it. It doesn't look pretty, but Ive been running like that for months and have had zero leaks.

ok again i will say the circuit sports one fits better than the cx racing one. Ive delt with both. cx racing one tips forward close to your battery while the circuit sports is more up right. thats the only difference so if you dont mind it tilted a little go for the cheaper one

well it's not like it messes with anything, right? unless it actually tilts and for some odd reason would hit the battery

I think I'll just save up for either the Weapon R or Circuit Sports, and until then I'll take it easy on the gas.

mine cracked one day in my white hatch, i ended up using a plastic wawa cranberry juice container that was in my back seat. I intended it to be very temporary but it stayed like that for like a year lol
