Hello everyone, I just bout a 93 240sx vert 5 spd and I love the car, but have a lot of small issues I have to fix before I'm fully satisfied. This is the first convertible I have owned and I'm having trouble with the top. When i just hit the top down button nothing happens no motor noise nothing. So I'm thinking it's a fuse or the wiring, but I keep searching and can't even find a diy on how to open this top is there a release somewhere? Where is the fuse located for the convertible top in the kicker panel or under the hood? I cant find anything clearly labeled for the convertible top. My car is a manual swap so I'm thinking that it's possible that I'm gonna have to trick the car somehow into thinking its in PARK because it used to be an auto. I haven't tried doing it manually on the actually convertible hydraulic pump because it's raining right now, but I will and will get back on here when I have tried it.

Please any help will be appreciated I've spent my childhood learning about bimmer's and I ended up buying a datsun :) RWD+LSD FTW!!!

I found the 2 levers tucked into the fabric above the driver and passengers head to release the hooks to the convertible top. I would have tried to open it today, but there was far to much wet snow.

If it has been manual swapped, the top will need to be wired to by pass the Park switch (if no one previously done it). Look in the 5 speed swap thread in this forum for instructions if needed.
