unless i hold the accelerator down a little when i start my 240 cold, the engine bogs and stalls. What do I need to clean or replace? It really stalls worse the colder it gets. THANKS

my fuel pump is fine, actually it was just tested and the guy said that it was in like new condition still. As for my battery, its brand new. So, I wouldnt do that if i where you. Im wondering if its my Idle Air Control, it may not be working right, so it may be stalling cause the idle isnt high enough?

Correct me if im wrong guys, I need some help here.

yah, my problem is the idle, it never goes up! its always at 500 untill warm, then it goes up to 900. It has such a hard time starting in the mornings tho because of this low idle.

There's a device mounted on the engine called an air regulator which islocated on the passenger's side of the engine, near the back, below theintake manifold. When the engine is cold and idling, the air regulatorallows additional air to flow to the engine thus maintaining a good idle. There's a good chance the air regulator is defective or the electricalconnections are bad.

there is an IACV on the sohc too.

guys, check the resistance on your coolant temp sensors (cts) and check the harness connector for corrosion too.

Yes, the air regulator is also used on the KA24E.
