so i started on a clutch/flywheel swap and i installed and mounted new flywheel, clutch and pressure plate and when i was going in to put the transmission back in, the input shaft slid in but it did not go all the way through so there is about an inch gap from the transmission to the engine. im sure i put the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate on correctly. any help guys? oh and i also lowered my engine a good few inches so theres more clearance from the firewall but still isnt going in all the way.

if its align properly then go to the front pulley of crank and spin it with a 27 mm. deep socket as you try to push the transmission in

you need to go to a local hardware store and buy a longer bolt. you probably need 2-4. mine had the same gap. put the 4 longer bolt and slowly tightening it in criss cross pattern. that way it will go in evenly, then when the gap closed or almost closed then you can use the stock bolts.
