I seriously doubt that your brakes need replacing at 8K. I'm sure the problem could be the build up of brake dust and other road debris between the caliper and the brake pad. Try taking off the wheel and cleaning it with brake cleaner. If possible remove the brake pads and inspect them. If there is high glazing on the pad, most likely the material that was used to make the pad is causing the squealing. Best remedy for that is to "burn" off the glazing. This is done by find yourself a quiet back road where you can accelerate to about 55-60mph and slam on the brake. Do this about 2 -3 times but making sure not coming to a complete stop. Coming to a complete stop will centralize the heat that was caused in the high speed braking to be concentrated in an area of the rotor which could cause it to warp. Not good
