Im not sure the std way of doing this..... But... If you take out a tail light, you can just literally splice into the power running to the brake bulb (not your blinker lol) and ground it.

That SHOULD work... some one pls confirm or deny...

You may have better luck tapping into the harness for the third brake light since you'll need to run the wire to the trunk lid close to the hinges. I'm assuming you won't want the third light AND the spoiler light both working.

it's water under the bridge now - but why didn't you order the spoiler without the light.

At the time it seemed like a good idea, i'm not sure why, but it did. Now not so much.

Colton, you know what to do now though right?Theres a DIY on how to take out the 3rd brakelight... do it... Take the harness, splice a wire into it, run it along the trunk wiring (take off the trunk top cover) and connect to the spoiler.

When I installed my spoiler, I ran the wires through the trunk, through the rubber boot, up and underneath the trunk deck and pretty much spliced it into the third brake light which I disconnected. Didn't take long but it looks clean!
