Just brought my new 09 Murano SL home last night & I need help with getting my regular MP3 player to work. Mine came equipped with the IPOD interface, but since I don't own an ipod, that doesn't do me any good. I know there are 3 aux jacks behind the middle console, but my cable I have that came with my mp3 doesn't insert fully into the jacks. Do I have to buy a special cable to hook my player up to the jacks? Will any of the 3 color jacks work or does it need to be hooked to a specific color? Does anyone have a link for the cable I need to buy if that is the solution? Thanks for any help!!!

I'm pretty sure you need a cable (available at any Radio Shack or other electronics store) with a standard headphone jack (the small one, maybe called Din?) to go into your MP3 player, and two, standard (I think male) audio jacks on the other end. Then you plug the audio jacks - usually red and white - into the red and white plugs on your Mo. The yellow one will be unused - I think that's for video.

I know I saw the same red, white and yellow jacks on an Infinity G37 I looked at recently, and was concerned about playing my Sirius Stiletto 2 in it. So I tried the cable I just described (one came with my S2) and it worked like a charm.

Maybe someone who has done this on their Mo can explain the cable you need better.

As a follow up, I saw the exact cable you need at a Walmart tonight. Think it was either $4 or $5.

Good to know!! Hubby just went and bought an IPod as a gift for me just so I could use it with the car...

Oh well, so much for going the inexpensive route!

The iPod interface is pretty darn sweet, you will love that!
