Ever since i bought my coupe i have heard this very loud and annoying sound coming from the back of my car. It kind of sounds like a rock is rolling around in a speaker or in a back panel of the car. Everytime i take it to the dealer they say they dont hear it. I had them came with me on a drive and pointed it out yet they found nothing. It is very lound and annoying!!! does anyone else have this issue or know what it is.thanks.

if you open your trunk and let out the illegal you picked up from across the border not only will the clunk go away, but he'll pay you cold hard cash. just kidding. Welcome to NICO though. To bad your first post here is a negative issue with the car.

Does the noise sound likes it's coming from the trunk compartment or actually inside the cabin? or neither?

Hmm try this. Stow and secure every possible loose item. Cds in the console, stuff in the back pockets, empty your trunk, then drive around the block. I think it could be your seatbelts. Try wrapping the clips in foam or finding some way to secure them. You might wanna have a friend ride in the back during the drive, that way they might be able to pinpoint the noise. But im pretty sure its the seatbelts.

also make sure that your spare tire and jack are secure, even though they are in the trunk, a light rattle could easily sound as if its inside the cabin

It could be the rear deck, you know where your rear speakers are housed? Just behind the rear seats, try pushing down on both sides and see if one side is lose, also open up the compartment that houses the rear seat lock (you know the one where you put your key in it to lock it?) I'm getting mine fixed because it rattles, theres a piece of plastic that says "unlock/lock" that surrounds the lock; it may be lose. Goodluck.
