I have an auto 1991 s13, and it was standing in my garage for a while. When I put it in there, I pushed it in, because my battery died on me while I was listening to some techno , plus my lights were on, no biggie right?

So today I go jump it of my moms civic, I pull out I let it run, and I notice My engine is going left and right relly bad, so I sturt pushing the sparkplug cap thingis and it's fine, I sit in it and I notice my rpms are down to about 500, and my car has small backfires from the back while standing, nothing big cuz I think it's caused by the bigass hole in my muffler. So I turn the car off run to my hause and back try to start it and it doesn't even turn over. I charge it again, and leave the civic run for a while. I get in my 240 after letting it run for well over an haur, with no electronics on, I turn it off and literary a second after I try to start it and it start to slowly turn over but dies, and lights start to flicer on and off in my car.

I'm guessing 1 I need new sparkplugs, 2 idk what to do with the low rpm, 3 get a new exhaust to make much bigger back fires , 4 either new alternator or new battery.

Sorry for the long thread and please help

--> sounds familiar....

1. check the battery take it to autozone or some place like that to get it checked..., prob its gonna be fine...

2. battery terminals..., the bastards have the tendency to **** up whenever you least expect it..

3. goto your relay box on top of the battery and check the 70a or 75a fuse that saya "ALT" if its blown.., replace it with a new one from the Nissan dealership...

if none of that works Im guessing that your engine is pouring gas on the plugs???? maybe!!!

how long was tha car sitting? remember that gasoline will go bad over time without stabilizer

also with the battery, just letting the car idle will not charge it, especially with it running that low of rpms. you have to push it a bit so the alternator is actually doing something. higher rpm, alternator spins faster, alt sends more juice to the battery.pull the battery, take it to autozone and have them charge it first and then test it (takes an hour on the charger for a full charge).

allrigth thanks, I'll charge it tonight and let it sit on higher rpm, If that doesn't work I'll go to autozone with it, if that doesn't work i'll swich out the fuses, and I had half of a fuel tank in it and it's been sitting there for about 2.5 weeks, so I don't think that is the problem,Thanks for help I'll post later If I get it running properly
