I have an S model sedan. I am considering getting an after market sunroof. I talked to one vendor who said they couldn't install an electric one due to the side curtain airbags. Has anyone else head of this? Can some of you who have had a sunroof installed after maket let me know about your experience?

Thanks!

Never a good idea, always a bad idea. Don't put holes in something that didn't come with said holes. That is, unless it doesn't rain and the wind doesn't blow where you live. Just my two cents. As far as the air bag issue, I don't really know how that would interfere with the airbags.

Sorry... Just a personal preference. Your sunroof looks good. I'm just a little biased, I had a leaker once.

The guys who put mine in weren't paying attention to what they were doing and they seriously screwed up my headliner... (you can see all the bumps and gaps and wrinkles and such on my CarDomin http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2548377)

Good luck if you decide to get one though...

I traded my V back in for the factory sunroof (I don't really encourage this either as I seriously laid down some dough to do it)

good luck...

Kimber you have to remember.... You were trying to get someone in Kentucky to do a car mod without duct tape.

You rock my socks! (I'm going back to work now... ;oP ... but I needed that!)

Well then, if we take CoV's advice... either don't get an aftermarket sunroof, or include a roll of coordinating-colored duct tape with your V when you send it in to be sunroofed. ;oD
