I know there is a way to get the codes and clear them by grounding a lead under the dash for the ABS light. It will flash and and flash again and you can ground it three times to clear the codes. I can not find the lead to do it with the FMS shows lead (L) on the check connector I can not find it there is one connector in that area that has like 8 wires and one off to the side by itself in the same plug but that wire I grounded and nothing happened can anyuone help me please

I did and still no response and no one has been on there in days. Sorry if I have offended anyone but a helpful answers would be nice instead of go post elsewhere as if you do not have time to even request in a polite manner for a different area for me to be helped better in.

Look, if you want technical info, you don't ask about it in Gen Chat. This e-space is for epic hoonage and nala fail only.

I really don't know what else to say except to tell you to post in the correct section.

I looked through the electrical section of your FSM and the check connector you're looking for is the M20 connector which has only one wire. I'm not sure what the "L" wire means but it shows the wire color as L/W which is blue/white. It sounds like you're supposed to ground this one wire connector to start the ABS self-diagnosis.

Looks like you found your way to the right forum in your other thread, so I'm going to merge these together. Please let us know how goody90q45's suggestion works for you.

I'm not a J30 owner and neither are most of the owners responding to this post. About the best we non-J30 owners can do is look at the FSM and direct you to the picture of the check connector on page BR36 that shows it dangling loose above the brake pedal. What year is your J30?

The color still looks like Blue/White Stripe on the '97. Check out page BR-42 for the location picture... it looks like it's directly above the brake pedal. You might have to remove the under-dash covers. Also, make sure you're following all of the steps on that page when you run the test...

Good luck!

We're not much help to you here since none of the responders own J30's and we're working off pictures in the FSM. There's 2000 cars parked at my work (I know everyone) and I've got the only Q45 and there are no J30's so I can't even help by looking in someone elses car. You may be better off reposting in the J30 forum and wait for advice there. Sorry.
