Hi everyone, I hope yall can help me. I've got a 98 Qx4 and the gas pedal sticks a little when it's first cranked. Once you push it good once it's fine, but it's quite a surge.

I think it's buildup in the trottle body. Does anyone know if that could be it? If so, can you describe the best and easiest way to clean it?

Thanks,Dano

It is the throttle plate sticking, very common on the pathfinder/QX4 . get some carb clean remove the intake tube spray a little carb clean around the outer edge of the throttle plate open the throttle with hand all the way use an old tooth brush or equivalent nylon brush and clean the black build up off. wipe clean with a rag. reassemble and recheck it.
