well I just rebuilt my sohc, and let me tell you, I find it pretty potent, the power is there when I need it, and with the right suspension mods it becomes a very quick fun little car. don't under-estimate the powa of the SOHC plus the ka is very strong, treat it right, and it will last a very long time

SOHC's are more fun than the DOHC's. I've alot more fond memories of a SOHC than the DOHC...chances are though, it's got a ton of miles and will probably need a rebuild for track duty and for more pleasure.
