If they don't fit you'll have to fab up some new brackets or try to find a way to modify the ones you have. I would return the 4x6's and get some 6.5" and then spend $14 on the ebay adapter brackets for 6/5" speakers/components. I'm using them with my Infinity Reference 6.5" components and they fit perfect, they even lined up with the mounting holes on the bracket. The bracket is 1/4" thick too so it's tough. That's what I would do. They require no modification (the fronts only, the back 6.5" adapters do). Unscrew the factory bracket/speaker holder and screw in the ebay plate, lines up great no headaches, just have to supply a 6.5" speaker, which is still less hassle than modding the current bracket.

thanks, i just have one question

with the stock 4x6 bracket, there are these circuit boards and wires for something, i dont know what

i do have power windows in the car, but in the stock 4x6 mounting bracket (kinda looks like a box) there are all these wires and stuff

can i just take all that stuff out and slap in the 6.5" Infinity reference series? and what are all those wires and little circuit boards for?

Unfortunately, I can't answer that question. My car has manual window/locks/mirrors, so there were no circuits in/on my speaker brackets. Hopefully someone who knows will check this post and be able to help you.

Since it's a 92 it's most likely the factory external amp system

When you junk it (and you will) you have to junk the entire system. I don't recall exactly how, but I remember reading about it here. Search something along the lines of factory amp removal

i searched

so how would i wire 6 1/2 speakers into the front speaker mounts

yesterday i took off the doorpanel and took out the whole part where the stock 4x6 would go and i see the little wirings and circuit board that looks like a mini amp

but i have a question, do i do, b/c it looks like the rear speakers also connect to that miniamp, so do i have to rewire all the speakers?

can anyone help me or maybe be a better searcher for the thread that can help me?

Just like you would the 4x6's. Match your polarities and vowala, it's that easy and thus the reason why you couldn't find anything searching. It's probably never been asked before.

Alright, I don't know Nissans, but if you're taking out the existing amp and wires, you will have to replace it with something. Sound logical? So yes you have to rewire them. You can either use an aftermarket headunit to power them or an amp.

IMO, I don't see why you'd need to take out the existing wires and amps. If you don't feel like spending big bucks on a new headunit and amp, just leave in what you have, change out the speakers and you're done.

You complain that the existing amps in the doors are located on the mouting brackets that need to be modified or removed. Simple, relocate the amp, fab up your own mounting brackets and you're done.

If you were in the Topeka area, I'd help you out with it...for a fee
