just mail your engine and credit card to phase2 or heavy throttle or another sponsor. j/k

i would say forged pistons, stock rods(maybe with cryo and stot peen), arp studs, metal head gasket, swaintech coat head/valves/pistons, new bearings and other rebuild stuff.

then you need fuel control, big honkin turbo, good size intercooler, strong clutch, etc.

well, as long as the turbine is fairly large you can run some big fat cams. get some jwt s4's or better yet something from our sponsors.

i just talked to wayne today about hitting approx. 400-ish whp; he told me:gt-rscheap ebay manifoldhks step 1reputably tuned powerfc or the likeobviously, intercooler, exhaustheadgasketRASvalve springs740-850cc injectors

and related stuff.

he said that greddy intake plenum was not needed at that level of hp.

i believe thats true. the stock plenum should be fine. really, why spend $400 on a plenum to get a couple hp when you could have the whole top end of your motor swaintech coated for that.

im building a similar setup now but im stuck on clutch options. what should i choose for trouble free ops at this power level. i like the twin disk setups with the flywheel included.

i like twin disk setups too. the only one i have driven was on a 350z and it was hard to drive.

I would like to see it if you are able to get 400whp out of the GT-RS. I am betting more like 350. Especially without a turbine outlet and short runner intake mani.

Not to knock the setup (I like it personally), I just don't think it will hit that number.

HKS rates the GT-RS at 400ps. It will hit that and some.

Unless your friend wants to rely on pushing alot of boost pressure to make power I'd suggest the following:

GT3071RFullrace ManifoldTomei 264/264D Jetro PFC + DatalogitTomei/Apexi MHG ~1.4mm Tomei RASTomei Dual Rate Valve Springs w/ RetainersSard 850cc InjectorsGreddy Intake PlenumGreddy Type-R BOV

Better parts, better setup IMO.

I like the sound of that setup.
