Ok. I need new brake rotors for my 1998 240. None of the local auto supply stores can seem to get my rotors in (5 lug) .. and if they can they are super expensive. Does anyone know of a good place to buy these online? Are there any good ones on ebay to look for? My SE is non abs.

what's super expensive? and you should be able to get any rotor for any s14 at any parts store. they may not have them in stock, but they damn sure can order them. order up some brembo blanks from one of nico's sponsors, they seems to be on par with oem replacements, price-wise.

+1, Brembo blanks for an SE are about $40-$60 a piece.

I order all my rotors off Ebay, I have Z32 fronts now though.

If you have to, redrill the holes on some 4 lug rotors. I did this once when I put j30 rotors on my 4 lug hubs. Takes 20 minutes on a drill press.

I paid $19 a piece for the generic 5-lug rotors when I did my 5-lug swap, but I got them from the supplier that all the local part shops go through here in Seattle. I looked on Google for Indiana but couldn't find much, there should be a way to find whoever supplies your local O'Reillys or whatever it is you have over there. If it is your daily driver, Brembo blanks might seem a tad excessive for just standard maintenance. Also, I hear that slotted or drilled rotors are a waste of money in terms of performance benefit, plus they wear out earlier, as well as ruining brake pads faster, unless you just like the look

Google shopping. It'll list all the major suppliers.

I find it VERY hard to believe you can't find them local. Where are you going? Home Depot? lol

The local Autozone did quote me 120 a rotor. Maybe they are just morons. They are listed on their website for 80.00 a piece.

Yikes. That's way too expensive.

Have you tried Napa, Checker/Shucks/Kragen, O'reilly, or any of those? When I got my Q45 rotors they just had to pick them up at their warehouse. They were at the store that afternoon. And they were only like $45 a rotor.

Maybe time for a Q45 upgrade?

you're getting ripped off. big time. brembo blanks for z32's are cheaper than both those quotes.

umm, seriously o.p., how hard is it to find stock rotors on the cheap. check out our sponsors on the right hand side. bam! done finito! brembo blanks are your best bet. or hell even check classifieds for someone selling their used ones and just get them resurfaced.
