I just bought my first zenki s14, and it's in really great condition. I took the car to the local Nissan dealership to see if they could tell me if anything was wrong with the car mechanically. They told me it was in decent shape, but i needed to replace the PCV valve.

If someone would, tell me what this part does, how to replace it. I'm not totally mechanically challenged, so any details would help.

-116,000 miles.-5 speed.-Not an SE.

Thanks for any help. This website is awesome.

pcv valve allows the crankcase to vent pressure. this good because its going to vent somewhere even if it means blowing by the seals. so if your valve is clogged you will leak oil from like everywhere. they are prob saying its old and due by mileage. it is not too terribly hard to replace on the rwd ka24 motors. you need to remove the oil filter to access it(unless you are really flexible).
