i have this very same problem. also does anyone know why 3 of my speakers just wouldnt work? it seems kind of random. idk if they're just unhooked or what. do bose come in maximas stock or do i have aftermarket speakers?

if im correct i think that they come with a bose system and a non bose system. i also heard something about if u have an aftermarket head unit and the rest is the stock bose system you have to change the wirring BUT i could be wrong. im new to the Nissan scene but I love my maxima so far

Bose is a stock option so they are stock speakers. To get at the rear speakers, you have to take the entire panel off, not just the grills. I'll take a look at the fsm and get a better idea of what you have to do, but usually it involves moving the seats and such.

to get to the front speakers i assume i have to take off the whole door panel? is there any easy way to test if speakers are good?
