if any one has info on the pinout for the white plug on the rb25det (on the s14 its the f3 plug) pliz help me out i need to get this car running. another thing guys with the rb25 did you use the lower engine harness or used the ka one. im kinda thinking use the ka one then hard wire the knock sensors on the lower harness straight to the ecu. if you got a better easier way of doing it help me out thanks!

THE KA AND RB LOWER HARNESSES ARE THE SAME WITH DIFFERENT PLUGS.... SO JUST SWAP THE RB PLUGS ONTO THE KA HARNESS AND IT'LL BE FINE.

what about the knock sensors on the rb i just hard wire them?

THE KNOCK SENSORS SHOULD BE ON THE TOP HARNESS BECAUSE THATS THE ONE THAT GOES DIRECTLY TO THE ECU.

im askin this coz there are like 2-3 sensors on the block next to the oil filter that are attached to the lower harness.so if i use the ka harness i dont need them right?

ARE YOU SURE THEY ARE ON THE LOWER HARNESS? ON MY RB20 THEY ARE ON THE ECU HARNESS (UPPER), THIS IS WHERE THEY SHOULD BE. IF THEY ARE ON THE LOWER HARNESS THEN YOU ARE GOING TO NEED TO HARD WIRE THEM IN.

THE GREEN PLUGS ARE KNOCK SENSORS AND THE BLUISH ONE IS THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH.

mine is a rb25 i think there is a difference????

thats why i need the pinout for the big white plug on the rb or even ecu pinout and hard wire those three sensors on.

YEAH BUT IT SHOULDN'T. THE KNOCK SENSORS SHOULD BE ON THE TOP HARNESS, THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH CAN BE ON THE LOWER HARNESS BECAUSE ITS ONLY FOR THE OIL LIGHT HAS NO ECU TIES.

i was also looking at the s13 write up and the guy who wrote it uses rb25 lower harness but to me it will be simpler to use the ka one. wwhat plugs did you splice from your lower rb harness to the ka (i know the alternator plug is difffrent) also im doing this to an s14 thats why im kinda confused.

Just take them out of the RB lower harness and plug them into the engine harnes, then then use the KA lower harness.........

Gani, I believe you should already have the wiring diagram for the RB25 engine harness. If you don't, get it here (right-click and save as). It's big (1.2 MB), but good. I found it somewhere on the web... forgot where.

you see the thing is i have that diagram it just tells me the wire colors and i need to now both that and what the wire controls. thats why i needed an ecu or f3plug (big white power plug) pinout to know what wire is for what.

I HAVE AN R32 ENGINE MANUAL..... I CAN PULL THE RB25DE WIRING FOR YOU THEY SHOULD BE THE SAME, I'LL GO TO MY EXES AND LOOK IT UP TONIGHT.

Christian, the knock sensors are on the lower or alternator harness

im also looking for the RB "f3" plug diagram, if you find it PLEASE tell me. I know someone who has it but cant seem to get in touch with him.

anyone got that pinout yet i would say its a matter of life and death but........... just wanna finish this wiring if not i think its haltech time.
