Well over the winter I decided to accidentally cut the wipers on while my windshield was frozen so of course the arms that control the windshield came apart. I put them back together and they will not stay. Is there a secret to keeping these things together. It was raining nicely today when it decided to pop off again. The one that is popping off runs from the motor to the passenger wiper. I know they can't be glued or whatever just wondering if there is some secret I am missing here. I have tried zip ties to keep the arm on the socket and even rubber bands with neither working for any length of time.

I've replaced many arms in freezing weather, at work. Once they pop off once they have to be replaced.....yes the whole arm. I know it sucks... and there not cheap either.

So I'm guessing that means I have to replace the one that goes from the motor to the passenger wiper then. How in the world do I get the arm off the motor? Do I have to take the wiper motor out?

You shouldn't. If you remove the plastic couling under the windshield it should be easy enough to get to.

You have to unbolt the motor to access the end of the wiper transmission. You should be able to pop it off with a flat blade screwdriver.
