wondering if this combination of wheels and tires will fit my S14. i was thinking 19x10+20 in the rear, wrapped with 265/40-19, and 19X8.5+15 in the front wrapped in 235/40-19... i have stock suspension and camber.... i realize i may have to roll my fenders to avoid rubbing if i hit bumps and stuff, but will this combination generally fit the wheel well? i did a little measuring and calculating, it looks like it would fit fine to me, i just need extra opinion. im new to the silvia/240 scene being as this is the first car i've ever bought, and i made the mistake of buying cheap 18X8 with lo-pro tires that made my car look really bad.... so im looking for a better size, and after doing some research i came up with this combination.

your car will always look bad with stock suspension no matter how many sets of wheels you throw at it

My opinion: Pick a path more traveled. Decently sized 18's are perfect on S14's. 19's can be difficult to pull off properly.

I'd say pick a setup that you like and try to come up with something similar:

I don't think it fill fit in the front because the stock shock tower has a very wide base where the spring sits. I know for sure that's true for s13 and I believe a14 has similar suspension. Only one way to find out, though....

buy coilovers and 18s.

if you buy those 19s and run them with stock suspension everyone will laugh at you.

Could be worse ...

Never understood that fascination. For real though, start with suspension and then make the tire/wheel fitment. Works out much better that way.

I had 19s on my S14
19x8.5 +5ish
19x9.5+10ish

it fit great, I was slammed(bottomed out all 4 coilovers) but still had rubbing issues up front. on the outer and inner fender well. if you have stock struts, the 19 may not clear the bottom perch or the strut body itself, depending on what the offset is.

you will have to modify your inner fender well to have no rubbing problems at full lock.

and like someone said already.
the car will always look bad at stock ride height ESP with 19s.
with 19s you'll effectively be adding 2 or so inches of upwards height to your car. if you run stock suspension.
and not to mention 19s usually much heavier than stock 16s and most 18s. you WILL be slower.

but like i said, i did it, loved it. ditched them for 18s, now thinking of going 17 because of weight and rotational mass improvements. im also on coilovers.

I have to agree on the fact you will have rubbing issues :( sorry
And you should buy what you want but 18's Look the best (in my opinion and i own a s14) Although consider buying some cheap as s*** coilovers just to abuse during daily driving. I know a few people that run godspeed 500 dollar coilovers while street driving and then swap to Stance or tein ect once they hit the track. I know ill get bashed for this but for daily driving and bashing the s*** out of em with pot holes etc id just get some godspeed coilovers seriously.

Man, don't forget how much cheaper tires are for 17's rather then 18's!
