Ok I bought a 1992 240sx with a custom turbo kit. It has a GT30 turbo and it still has stock injectors. The mass air flow sensor is located right next to the intercooler. I'm having a few problems with the car a of sudden. The other day I was driving it it and it started to studder and died out on me. Then I got it started again and it keep studdering and almost dieing unless i pushed the clutch in to keep it from dieing. The second thing is there a bunch of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. We checked the compression and the compression was fine. Does any one have any ideas what it could be or how I can fix it? (Running 6psi of boost)

Update:Ok after reading alot more forums the compression supposed to be over 150. When I test them it was any where from 143 to 148 on all of them. Also the guy I bought it from has another motor that he is going to give me but not all the parts are there. There are some forged pistons in this motor and 550 injectors. How will it affect the motor I have in now to put the forged pistons in? Sorry but I'm still new to all of this.

check your intercooler piping for leaks and pipes that popped off etc. White smoke can be the result of a few things, even a blown head gasket but I doubt that in your case.

Could be turbo seals. But do like spooled said and check your i/c pipe for leaks first.

you would not happen to have you crank case vent hooked up like this would you... i had mistakenly done this a few time because it comes from the factory like that. what i was doing was pressurizing my crank case and damaging my seals. as a result smoke was coming out under boost. luckly i caught it in time and no major damage was done.

this

to that
