i have 8 s14 se 16" alloys with various tires and im trying to pick which ones are the best for daily driving, and the rest will go to a drift meet. all of them are 205/55. i have -

2 sears tires 50% tread. these are obviously the ****tiest of the bunch and are deffinitley going to the drift meet.

2 sears tires 75% tread

2 bridgestone re910 50% tread

2 kelly charger directional TR or HR, cant tell (if anyone knows how to distinguish, please tell me) 50% tread

so, i assume the bridgestones grip best, followed by the kellys, and then the 75% tread sears tires. so i was going to use the bridgestones up front and kellys in the back, or should i use the sears tires with more tread somwhere in there? i cant decide. any feedback would be great :)

go trade them all in for newer better tires :D

no seriously though, i would put the bridgestones on the rear and i really dont know much about the other tires, so you can choose with that :o

For the daily driver, I would get into a matched set of the Bridgestones. As for the best "mix" for drifting, I'll defer to those who have more "sideways" experience :pface

for daily, I would use the bridgestones on the rear, but it will cause serious push..but flipping them will cause oversteer from hell....exactly what you want in a drift competition :)

have fun with it. hit me up when you need tires..just drive to atlanta.

i ended up using the kellys in the back and bridgestones in the front for the drift meet. found out the bridgestone had a flat spot and the kellys had like 5 nails in them between the 2, but they held air so whatever, lol. got some heavy understeer until i changed my coilovers, so i guess the bridgestones didnt grip as well as i wouldve thought.
