can someone tell me if it is way worth it to get the B&M short shifter or if i should saev 150 bux and go with the obx one. the b&m looks better quality and yes you get what you pay for. but if they perform about the same then ill go cheap the shift quailty isnt that big of a deal although the length is.

thanx for that i hadnt seen it. but they are out of stock right now and id rather not pay 300 bux for it. as far as the obx shifter is concerned is it a quality shifter or should i go for the b&m or c's.

I don't have either one... but this is what I've heard.

OBX: Good shifter.. short throw... easy install.... cheaper. Two piece unit that can break... but easy to fix if it does.

B&M: Good shifter... shorter throw... one piece construction It's a bear to install... more expensive

That's just the opinions I have gathered, as we have discussed this at length in the past. Use the search button to find more info.

the b&m is better quality but as you said the OBX is cheaper. if you figure out where the place your ordering it from gets it, warehouse or direct or wherever else you can get a better price. if they buy direct they should only be paying like 35-40 if im correct, otherwise probably about 50 or so. i think thats right but im not 100% sure, its something like that. the b&m should be running somewhere in 90-120 range if im correct.

B+M is about 200-300 dollars, and replaces your entire shifting assembly, not just the top portion like C's, OBX, etc. it provides a much crisper and shorter throw than any other shifter I've ever felt in a 240sx, but it is all aluminum construction so it can be a bit "harsh" at time, like a race shifter...but thats why I bought it. no bull****, all aluminum and teflon, short throws and very precise feeling.
