Help...Wheel swapping!!!!

Hey folks! I have one of those crazy questions, but I really need to know what you all suggest. I'm finally getting the new 96se on the road, but it's in need of tires, and actually, three of the factory rims are very badly curbed, and I mean badly. Now, here is the question....I have a 2001 Maxima SE, with the pretty nice factory 17s on it. While looking for rims on-line, I am continually seeing rims that will 'fit 240's, maxima's, murano's' etc....I'm talking about the same part number for each type of vehicle. I always heard that ya just don't mix front drive rims on rear drive cars and ya don't do it the other way either, and it makes sense. I just wonder if these cars had a very close offset from the factory so that maybe they could actually use the same rims. Can anyone help me? I think the 17s would look nice on the 240, and they have lots of life left in them. Since my daughter is gonna be driving this as her first car, I just don't wanna put any high-end rims on it just yet. If these rims will swap out ok, I can put some 18s on the Maxima....and wouldn't that be yummy? Please, feel free to give me some suggestions. I like the 17s the maxima has on it, and I think they'd be pretty sharp on the 240.......plus the 18s on the max.....Help!!!!! :help :help

well there was a guy askin bout maxima rims for a 240, use a spacer.

The 240sx uses a high offset factory wheel.(+40) Akin to a FWD wheel. There are members with pics of their 240sx with Spec V rims fitted to it.

If you have both cars, simply remove a wheel from the Max and test fit.
