I am redoing my dash and wiring in my car. For that reason I need a new speed, RPM, and fuel gauge. I have a bounch of autometer gauges so I wana stick with them as a brand. I was just gona buy their basic speed and RPM gauge, but a buddy of mine said it wont work. He told me there is more then one type of speed gauge, and they work off of different sensors to work. Whoever is running an after market speed gauge, please tell me the one you picked.

Engine: I have a KA.

I don't think it matters what type of gauge you use...you just have to find the signal wire that is going to your cluster and tap into it.

i am sorry but it does matter what gauges you use because a lot of gauges out on the market is for looks and they are not really that accurate. A gauges that is really accurate and good would have to be a gauge that cost at least 150 to 200 dollars. Gauges like.....defi.......greddy......and some others i cannot list on top of my head but if you need some gauges that are close to accurate would have to be autometer gauges..........i know doesn't sound too JDM but they work
