Help! Weird Noise at Engine Startup

Hello All,

I own a 05 QX56 since new and it started making a weird metal-to-metal noise when starting up the engine. Could someone let me know what might cause this noise? I brought it to a local mechanic but he could not tell what it is and recommended brining it to a dealer/stealer. Any inputs would be appreciated!

Also, the QX56 makes 'tic tic tic' noise when AC is turned on for 10-15 seconds or so and it's gone afterwards. I don't think it's anything serious so I've been driving it as-is for months but it started making the same noise on the right side recently and would like to know what's wrong as well.

Any inputs would be appreciated!

Yes, it does drive and run normally. It only makes that weird sound during the startup, but it does not make not make any sound when idling.

could be the manifolds on the car. has the manifolds been replaced on that car?

google armada and manifolds and read up on the info you find. i think nissan recalled these manifolds at one point, but dont quote me.

your model car is made on the same line as the titan and armada in alabama, hence why i suggested you widen your search.

i see you posted this question over art another site--that site should give you some good info also.

check the fan clutch also.
