Hey guys. I've got a 1990 hatchback with an rb20det swap. Searched a ton, can't find any similar problems haha.

Bought it as complete basket case a few years ago, and have been slowly fixing it up. I've done a whole engine rebuild, wiring specialties harness, did the LS2 truck coil conversion, welded up my own engine mounts to replace the eBay crap that was already on it, rebuilt the CAS with parts out of a Z32 CAS, etc. Bunch of stuff like that.

It's still got issues, and I know what most of them are, but i'm stumped on this one. The throttle switch, (NOT the TPS part, just the idle switch.) is possibly not working correctly? The reason i say that is, I set it according to what the FSM says, to where the circuit has continuity when the throttle is closed. The really odd part is, the car seems to run better, rev better, and idle better if i set it incorrectly, to where the idle switch circuit is always open.

Anybody have any ideas why?

Also, a related problem i'm having is that i can't get the thing to idle any higher than like 500-550rpm. Most people have issues with it idling too high haha.

But, just because it was idle related, I pulled the AAC, cleaned it etc. Looked around for, and fixed any vacuum leaks i could find. Tried adjusting the AAC afterwards, didn't seem to do anything. Although, i'm confused about that. the FSM says just unplug the AAC, adjust it, plug it back in, bam. But while searching, I saw a lot of people say you need to unplug the TPS before you start the car, to get it to adjust properly.

Thoughts/ideas/magical tricks?
