help!! weird engine problem

ok so a ka24de s13 93' and i live in Oklahoma and we got hit with that ice storm and snow. and so i was driving around and going to work. and when all of a sudden my engine starts accting up. and like if i press the throttle down it will seem like its hesistating and speed up very slowly. and also the exhaust souond is diferent too, i went from loud N/A dart izumi style exhaust sound, to sounding like a subaru sti sound but w/o the turbo sound ofcourse. it just went really deep. and so i pulled over and checked my engine, well i found snow around the headers, and sway bar , and lower radaitor hose. alos my intake is where my battery used to be. and there was some water around the filter. is it possible water could have sucked in to my engine cause these problems? or maybe just a spark plug went bad? wouls that cause these problems? any help is greatly appreciated.

its sounds like your down 1 cylinder wheather it be b/c of injector, spark or what. narrow it down by pulling off the spark plug wires 1 at a time to see if its firing on all cylinders. if it dosent change on one thats where your problem is.

ok but i also figured out that it stopped doing that weird thing i explained for awhile and then it did it again. and ok so what im looking for is what? far as change goes? like exhaust sound? or just engine different sounding than before it started acting up? sorry no flaming please. im kinda new to engine things.

No need to post 4 times man.First thing is first. with the car onStart with the first spark plug cable it, pull it completely out. Is there a difference in how the motor idles? if there is, put the plug back on and go to the next cable.If there is no difference, then that cylinder isn't firing off. Either your not getting spark, or fuel.Replace the spark plug, if that doesnt work, Then the injector probably went out.it seems KAs are notorious for letting injectors go...Let us know what happened

yea sorry bout the 4 posts guys. i was at my friends house on his laptop. and it kept saying error and i thought it didnt post. well i will do those steps and let you know. thanks for the help allen.

OK! well did the pull the plug test and cylinder number 3 did nothing at idle when pulled. so im gonna by some spark plugs and swap them in. you guys have any idea of which is some good ones? BOSCH? ngk?

Hmm doesn't really matter. I got ngk. But pull out the spark plug andlook at it. How does it look?

first test resistance in ohm's across the the two electrical prongs on the injector with a multi meter. that's your problem guaranteed lol. it should be around 12-13 ohm's if working correctly i think, if broken it reads infinite.

ok guys FOUND the problem! i got some new spark plugs! the bosch platinum +4 (recommended by a friends dad who is very reliable on cars.) and well when i turned the car on and pull the the wire off plug num. 3 idle messes up. so im guessing we have a success right?! cause it didnt do that before but it does now since i put the new plugs in. and when i pulled the old ones they looked worn and kinda rusty. and spark plug from num.3 was the worst...rusty and had some black/dark brown liquid stuff on it which im sure is oil.
