Just got finished with putting on my JGS kit on my 97. Turbo/ wastegate and such are on and the oil is all connected. I put the EGR cap on the sensor on the back of the manifold instead of the pipe for cleanliness. I started it up just to make sure the turbo was OK and I didn't have any leaks. No leaks and the turbo was good but just turning the key forward makes the temp gauge peg "H". Is it the sensor or something else? Why would it do this now when it was fine before? Sorry for the long description I just figured the more details the better.

Thanks in advance for any help.

you probably somehow unhooked the signal for the water temp gauge on your cluster. It's next to your water temp sensor for the ECU which is the big red clip next to your TPS. It should be on the right of your ECU water temp sensor. Looks sortve like a gound.....hard to explain in words..I'll try to find a picture for you
