Well my manifold happend to break on me so i was pulling it off to get get it fixed and theyre was water everywhere..inside the manifold..some on the hotside of the turbo where it connects to the manifold..some on hte hotside bolting up to the exhaust..i stuck my finger inside each runner on the head..and theyre was also water in there..not tons but if you run your finger along hte hole inside the head theyre is water on my finger afterwards..anyone know what this could be?..could it be a head gasket?..or maybe just lots of condensation?..i need helpppp!

Also the turbo is not water cooled if that makes a diff.

Chances are it's a blown headgasket. If you managed to crack the exhaust manifold, you must have had that motor running way hot. The head probably was warped, which in turn led to the headgasket blowing out. My recommendation to you is to take the head off, take it to a shop and have them check for warping.

And since the block is aluminum too, take it in with the head and have them check the deck for warping as well.

No the manifold had brocken before..the guy who made it used crappy steel on the WG flange and it kept breaking..so that problem is getting solved by using stronger metal on the flange..and as for running hot..the car didnt overheat at all..i noticed this once i pulled into my driveway and steam was pouring out of the crack in the mani..smelt like crap and this morning i checked the oil and its almost clear now from water...So basically i need to pull the goddamn thing out and take it apart?...I JUST baught this motor and put it in

blown headgasket, bad oil pump or water pump.

Or my personal favorite, you hooked up one of your coolant lines to the wrong place on the throttle body or intake manifold.

Honestly removing the head is not that daunting of a task. The best thing I can tell you is search online for a FSM nissansilvia.com has the FSM for the S14 SR20 which has the same torque specs as an S13sr20. Next keep everything clean and well organized. Use plastic bags or if you are in a low dirt or contamination environment consider using muffin tins. I highly recommend going to ARP headstuds instead of ording new OEM Head studs. This is all under the notion that infact it is a headgasket. It sounds like that is what it is but I am not there looking at it or doing a compression check on the motor for me to tell you that for sure. I have to agree with tenkawa_akito about sending the head and block out to machine shop they have a precision straight edge and the experience to determine if your head or block are untru or warped i.e. out of spec. If they are and you just slap a headgasket back on it will simply blow out again.

Ok so i pulled the head today and didnt notice anything unusual on the gasket and cyl #'s 2 and 3 were about half full of coolant..so could this mean cracked block and or warped head?..i dont see how the head would warp and not cause any damage to the head gasket..the car never over heated or anything and didnt have any white smoke coming from the exhaust..i noticed the steam coming from where the mani broke and shut the car off...car wasnt hot at the time either was running at normal temp. So whats the best thing to do now? any suggestions?

just because the headgasket does not look bad does not mean that it is not. take the head and block to a machine shop have them look for warpage or any cracks. This seriously sounds like a headgasket.

And do i HAVE to replace head studs?..i read somewhere that they stretch when first installed and cant be used twice...is this true?

it depends. headstuds can stretch after a long time but if it is a relatively new motor then you should be fine.

look up the specs in the fsm and measure them to see if they are to spec.

Ok gonna measure them today and im getting my head checked at a machine shop on monday to see if there is any damage done to the head. then putting on the new headgasket and using the old studs if theyre good..my motor wasnt new but baught from a company called JDM tuners..i compression tested the motor and everything was good so i thought it was a good motor. hopefully after the headgasket everything is good..only put 2000km on this motor and im having major problems..its my 2nd motor
