hi i am new to NICO, i just purchased a virgin S14 Zenki (1995 Nissan 240sx SE 46k miles), i am looking forward into doing a custom turbo kit for it maybe looking around 250whp on stock internals, anybody with any ideas? on what kind of turbos to go with, maybe off a Dodge Turbo truck? so yes don't flame at all because thats not helping. Post a comment if you are only helpful to a new S14 owner. Any backyard mechanic with a good turbo setup will doTurbocharge on a budgetFinally jumping on the bandwagon

thanks alot

hey, welcome to nico and congrats on picking up such a low mileage 240. def dont got with a truck turbo as itll be way too big for any 4 cylinder to use. if you want a cheap setup your best bet is to go with a bottom mount t25/28 ebay mani with a t28. you could get close to 250 maybe with that turbo. if you want better than cheap, check out http://www.jgstools.com as they have a nice decently priced setup for the ka. not to mention theyre in oregon as well. im running one of their kits and the quality is great. with that turbo youll be at 250 for sure and could easily go to 300 with proper engine management. use the search button before you have to ask any simple questions as most everything has been covered time and time again. also check out the faq sticky up top.

That should get you started and give you a good idea of what all is necessary. With your budget, I would say to shoot for the Mild range specified. If there's one thing I can't stress too much, though, it's fuel. Make sure you don't skimp on fuel management. Even if you have to save up a little more money, you need a proper fuel management system. For the 250 whp range-Walbro fuel pump, 440cc injectors, wideband, and some sort of piggyback controller. Or for much better reliability, forgoe the piggyback and get an Enthalpy tuned ECU.

If you want to save a lot of headaces go with a Enthalpy tune instead of the BTM and safc. But iv seen people use the Enthaply and safc to very fine tune but you dont have to.
