I am looking for help with a 240 hatch I have with an sr20 redtop swap. I am dealing with a throttle hesitation/throttle response during an initial quick touch of the accelerator pedal or throttle body itself. The motor more or less seems like the motor is going to die, then it will increase the rpm range. However, during slow, long revs, there is subtle to no hesitation. I am at a loss of what i can do to determine a resolution to this problem. Please reply with any advice, suggestions, references.
Anything that could help would be greatly appreciated

hey thanks for the response,

I found this article on timing, would it be a good guide to follow? If no, do you know where I could find something better?

I have a knock of bov that I think isn't functioning properly and a a small whole in the flange of the intake pipe which looks like it was filled with some sort of silicone. I havent had a chance to fully look at all my vacuum lines. i am going to fab a new intake pipe an flange with a new hks bov i purchased.

the car came with a swapped sr throttle body for a ka throttle body. i currently have a safc II wired into this that is hot wired for start up. would this effect throttle response also?

does anyone know anywhere i can find guides or walk throughs on the safc II?
