Help!!! want to add a car pc to my 03 Q

Hey everyone i have a 03 Q45 and I want to add a car pc to my car. My buddy just did this in his bmw and is willing to help me. He just doesnt want to do all of the research, I have started doing some and reading up on how to go about this but havent found many answers. If any one has any info on how to do this it would be greatly appreciated. or if any one knows where I can get some parts to do this that would be great also.

My Idea is to replace my factory screen with a touchscreen and add a carpc with nav and some other options and have all my mp3's and some other stuff right there but I dont want to lose the stuff that is displayed on my factory screen like heat fan speed and any other things that are normally displayed there. I dont want to have two screens but if that turns out to be my only option then I will have to figgure something out.

I already have a thread on there and havent gotten any answers yet that say yes or no and people have suggested I try more on car specific sites so thats what I'm trying. and I hgave searched on here and about 5 or 6 other forums and and have 2 or 3 threads on different forums about this.

Does 2003 still have the slot below where the tape goes? Just replace that with a fold-out LCD. This way, you can have both climate/navigation as well as entertainment controls. No switching between modes.

it does and i intend on putting something there but i dont like the look of having 2 screens i think it makes it look to crowded.

and blkonblk do you have any experience with that thing you posted about it sounds like i can program my steering wheel controls and get my ac controls and everything else to work as well. just kinda hard to understand so far would like to talk to someone with some experience in this area. also are you still selling you car pc stuff or is it all sold
