Hi,

I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 and recently my VDC keeps cutting off by itself, (the slip light and VDC off light comes on).

This has been happening for a few days now, anyone had this problem before and know how to fix it?

Thanks.

Sounds like a sensor might be going out. When does it happen? Certain speeds, right after startup, right after warmup, braking, etc?

Some of the techs will be able to help much better with this info

It doesn't come on right away, it usually comes on after I've been driving for awhile. At first i thouht it was only coming on when i go a certain speed but even when i drive normal speed it comes on after awhile.

whats "normal" speed for you?

Does it come on after 10 min? 20? 30? If you take just a short trip does it do this?

Have you checked the brake fluid level? OR brake pads? IF your pads are worn then you could be low on fluid and this could set off these symtoms.

In short trips it doesn't come on, but if i take a trip that's 20 minutes or longer it comes on.

Yesterday it didn't come on at all, but it came on today on my way to work.

Also i checked my brake fluid level its full, and my brake pads are only 2 months old.

It is most likely your brake sensor. It could be just contac problem but I think it needs to be replaced.

I concur......back brake disc wear, and the sensor is alerting you.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know what could be causing it, but if the VDC really is shutting down this could leave you with some pretty unpredictable/unexpected handling!

IMHO, put the keyboard down get that thing to a qualified mechanic ASAP!Running the risk of an out-of-control car is nothing to mess around with.
