Hey guys,

Sorry for the urgent question, but I was replacing my drive shaft u-joints on my 2006 Nissan Armada bc I was getting a weird squeaking noise when I reversed it (plus its over 100k now). So when I disassembled the drive shaft I had everything marked with permanent marker paint and I realized when I was reassembling the driveshaft that all the paint had come off from the WD-40 I sprayed on it

So I need to know if I'm assembling it the correct way now. Here are some pics for refs. I'd appreciate if anyone has an undercarriage shot of the drive shaft.

So does the tapered part of the drive shaft face the front of the car?

I really would appreciate a quick reply. Hopefully I don't have to create another post in Titan truck area. I feel like no one would probably works on their Armada when I post about stuff like this :rotfl .

Thanks for the post AZHitman. That helps with the assembly, but still need help figuring which part of the propeller shaft needs to face forward. That PDF doesn't really show it......ugggh I wish my memory wasn't so bad and wish my paint didn't fall off :(

Anyone awesome enough to go under their car and snap a photo of their driveshaft? Especially if you have a 2006 Nissan Armada. :)

The smaller diameter side goes to the front (to trans). The larger diameter side goes to the diff.

Dimilo, were u joints hard to do? I have a 2006 with the same squeek that is from the u joints. I know that they will probably need to be pressed out. Thank you for your help.

They should just be held in with some funky C-clip type things.
