I have just overhauled my engine, and here is the deal:I have no oil pressure, and did not prime the pump, assuming it was self priming, am I wrong? Also, I am getting bubbles in my coolant, telling me that compression is leaking to the cooling system via the head/head gasket. It has new rings on unhoned walls, but the factory hone marks were still visable, so I didn't feel it would be necessary. I did not polish the crank, and I am using stock pistons and rings. I did not surface the head, and I was told that it is probably leaking there, because the aluminum warped as a result of the head being removed, but it never was overheated. Will the head gasket seal itself when it warms up like a chevy small block, or do I need to take it off and surface it? I would like to know before I pull the head back off, or warm it up and destroy my new bolts. I know that you guys don't know the specifics of the deal, I assume the head is not warped but I didn't check it. So the question is this, will it seal when it heats up? Anything would be helpful.

did you remove all the bolts in the correct order and tighten them back down in the correct order also? and did you loosten them and tighten them in stages, if so it is very unlikely that your head is warped.

I doubt it's going to seal. Your best bet is to pull it, have the head shaved, and reinstall. Make sure you drain and replace your oil afterward...

I did not do the head removal, I bought the car w/o the head on it, then I decided to overhaul the motor. But a friend of mine took the head off before I met him, and bought it from the friend he did the work for (odd how fate works, isn't it?) He said he checked the head and block with a straight edge and a flash light, and nothing showed up. He did this because the guy I bought the car from sold it, this is why: He was on the highway doing 90MPH in 4th, went for 5th, hit third. He said the car would not run right, when he got it home and shut it off, he could not get it to start. So he thought it was the head gasket (Yes, I know), I thought it would be a bent distributor shaft. So I got the car with no head on it. We pulled the motor and did a standard re-ring, with some hotter cams. 4K, a whole hella lot of bolt ons, and a few months later (I took my time, have an FR Corolla, too). Anyway, I am no stranger to cars, and I can only assume that I either have a warped/cracked head (which I did not notice when I went over it, but who does?), a broken head gasket (the dowel in the block was sheared off, so it could also be misaligned), I hooked up the coolant line to the AAC (would that pump air into the coolant, isn't that what it does? Pump air I mean.) Or since it has been sitting so long, air is just working it's way out of the block and heating system, I will be running a compression test on St. Patrick's day, then moving to celebration (Irish boy right here!) Also, I will be filling the filter, and taking the sender out, and using a hand syphon pump to prime the pump, who thinks that will work? Some ideas, later on I will be supercharging this car, so any info would be great.

for all one person who was interested, it turned out to be WAY warped, about .010" in the center, the head came off in less than two hrs. So I get it shaved 10 or 20, then I put some 91+booster, and rape the pavement. Thank you all (sarcasm) for your help.

As NISTECH stated, you were told what was wrong. You finally check it out to find that we were right about the head. Why the attitude? Why require 50 posters on here trying to tell you the same thing?
