Help turning the horn off when locking car by remote.

Nissan Rogue forum - Includes Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Dualis as well.

Does anyone else hate the horn honking when locking the car doors? If so can it be turned off and simple just lock the doors?

I would also like to turn it off. I'm going to call the service department when I get a chance.

i like it. it i dont have to stand in front of the car and watch it to make sure the doors lock properly.

Read your manual, it tells you how to disable the horn when locking the doors.

Well thanks, I looked at that a few times and skipped it since it says Intelligent key system if so equipped. My Rogue is NOT so equipped. Now I feel a little silly.

i think all you have to do to switch from horn and hazzard to just horn is hold down the lock and unlock buttons on your key for more then 2 seconds.to turn the horn back on just hold them down again.

i tired that on mine it works too, but i have a question about it,

then the horn is on, and when unlock the side signal light will flash once, but after i turn the horn off, and unlock the car, there's no light was flashing, only the map light, lights up.

are you guys the same?

thats what it is supposed to do. you can find what it does in the manual but the horn and the flashersboth change.
