Today me and my friend tried to tweek my timming and tried the timming as showed on phase2motortrend. But after trying that my engine would not run correctly at all. I would either idle to high at about 2000rpm or to low 500rpm and the car would be missing alot. Every time we got the rpm's to what we wanted it would change by it'self after a couple of minutes. We got tired with so I just left and drove the car with it Idleing at 500rpm, on my 30mile drive home something weird happened. I went over a bump and saw all my dash lights come on and then off. Then I went to look at my boost gauge and it read 0 psi but the car was still on. The car still drove home fine but when I take my foot off the gas it would read 0 psi and then about 10hg when I step on the gas. I have no clue what happend all the vacuum lines seem to still be hooked up fine nothing seems out of place. Please help anyone!!!

What the instruction in Phase2 doesn't tell you is that you have to get the #1 cylinder in TDC at compression cycle. See the S14 SR FSM. Download it at zeroyon.com. If I recall correctly (been 1.5 years), you have to align the two silver links with the marks on the camshaft pulley. They're hard to see. The gold one is easier. I just counted how many rollers from the gold one to get to the silver links. After you got the silver links at the camshaft pulley marks, then you can follow the instruction in Phase2. Remember that the crankshaft pulley has to point to TDC which is second tick from the left. Good luck.
