help! trans dipstick

I recently purchased a 84 Nissan/Datsun 720 with the 2.4 king cab pickup 2wd. It is missing the transmission dipstick (automatic of course). I found one from a nissan 300 on eBay but don't know the type of transmission I have or if it will work. If some one has a automatic I would really appreciate if I can get measurement from the dipstick part that sits on the end of the tube to the full and low marking. Then I could use a universal from my local auto parts store. Thank you for the help
