A former marine in Jupiter FL might lose his home over flying the US flag. Its time homeowner associations were taught a lesson.

Here's the article:http://www.sun-sentinel.com/ne...lines

Im sending him a letter if encouragement and $100.

George Andres125 Doe TrailJupiter FL 33458

Thanks,-Jesda

This is a great example of why I chose to buy SFD instead of a condo/PUD. I hate nosy, anal, troublemaking neighbors.

I suggest this guy fly the "Don't Tread On Me" flag and send a message to the fascist HOA.

There was a Vietnam Vet up here that ran into similar trouble recently. His stupid association ordered him to remove his official POW-MIA flag that he flew below his American Flag because it was not "approved"by the association. He refused to take it down and they started fining him. He smartly took his case to the press. He eventually prevailed, but it took a good bit of public pressure

Around here we have Dale Jarrett and Tony Stewart flags. I think it safe to fly the POW-MIA or any other flag. I personally fly the German flag in my garage. Havent figured out where to place my American flag outside.

I think it's pretty crappy for the guy, but didn't he know about the rule before moving in?

on a sidenote, I need to be more like an old man and go balls forward and not give a damn, well to some extent anyway, I guess as we grow older we just show or lose more and more fear.

maybe I should just get rid of everything I have to live for then go kick some a$$!

I'd imagine they can do stuff like that because the people who live there sign agreements to the effect of "I'll follow the rules of HOA as long as I live here" (translate that to confusing legalese).
