I installed tein tie rods, rod ends, and t/c rods tonight, took the car through the nieghborhood slowly checking for problems...bad news it felt really bad.

After installing these parts, straight on the steering wheel isn't straight, the front wheels have more camber than they used too...like from -1.5 to -3 or so, the steering feels unstable, gritty and notchy: almost like I can feel the teeth in the rack or something. Also the power steering feels weaker and there's lots more vibrations coming from the wheel; it's also harder to turn the wheel.

I have tein coilovers, stock wheels with 205/50 or 205/55 tires depending on the day and thought it would be no problem to run the included wheel spacers for increased steering angle, these as along with the fact that the car badly needs an alignment now may be contributing to the shape it's in but I'm a little concerned if I should even try driving it to an alignment shop. Everything just feels off.

I can't tell if it's just performance parts that need an alignment, or if something is about to break and it needs an alignment. Have I made some huge mistake or is it just in need of an alignment? What do you guys need to know to help me get my poor car rolling well again?

Alignment makes a huge difference you messed up the toe for sure as well s caster...get an alignment you have to do that after installing suspension stuff anyways If it is still mesed up after that then worry. I doubt it will be messed up after an alignment though.

it's important to make sure you mark down all the factory length. Even with a good eye it's hard to get everything align back to oem specs. A simple alighment will fix everything. you don't want to mest up. did you remeber to put the spacer in?

Yes, I did put the spacer in. Things are much better now that the alignment has been done but there is still something wrong with the car. W

hen I steer to the right there is a noise and you can feel it in the wheel and the seat, it's from the front right. I'm going to assume one of the tein coilover lockwashers has come loose and the strut is moving about, but I don't have much confidence that's the problem. I'll make sure everything's tight but beyond that I have no idea what the touble is. It doesn't seem to make the noise when steering in the other direction *or* when steering back to the left after passing the region where it seems to make the pop/clunk sound. Everything else is nice and tight.
