2007 altima S 2,5

the connector must have got real hot and made the connector brittle beyond belief.

thus I am no longer sure as to which color wire goes to what terminal

there are three pins.

currently I have
white - to the terminal that is closest to the engine.
yellow - to the middle
brown - to the terminal that is to the front of the car, farthest from engine.

Do I have the orientation right?

I am very sure that the yellow is the middle terminal, just not sure of the outer wires.

Help!!

Please somebody go out to their car and either take a picture or tell me what color wire is closest to engine on that connector.

I did come across that, but it doesn't state the color of the wires.

and on page 16 their picture has the pins labeled as
4,3,2 (2 being closest to the engine), if you keep the clip towards up.

but on page 11 they have pin 2 as the farthest from the engine so the numbers would be
2,3,4 (again have the clip towards the top)

why in the world would an electrical diagram NOT have wire colors?

PG 16

it shows looking at the connector with the clip facing up, it should be GR- Y/B - BR. correct?

Ugh I just saw the color coding below the plug

However I do not have a green wire
I have Brown
I have yellow
I have white

and like I said page 16 has the pins number
4,3,2 with clip up

but page 11 has the pins numbered as
2,3,4

ugh

FIXED - I am such an idiot...page 16 shows the pins from the POV of the alternator.
so with the clip towards the top or if looking down onto the alternator from the passenger side you have
4,3,2
white, Yellow, Brown (white being closest to engine)

from the POV of the harness connector with the clip up, when doing the tests from the other pages you have
2,3,4
brown, yellow, white (white being closest to engine)
