It depends, Do you have access to a junkyard with 240's in it?

If so you can keep the car if you have the time and skill to fix it up.

If you are like me I'd just sell it and get a nicer one, but its really all in your abilities and willingness to spend time on the car.

Fred..

PS: KDashy be nice..

Not that I recommend this often (since it's the first thing people usually think of anyway), but as long as the body is straight and free of rust it sounds like it would be great for an SR swap.

When you say "missing most of the interior", define most. IMO, S13 seats suck. On the other hand, carpet and seats are expensive.

What sort of budget are you looking it?

welcome to NICO! As for buying a stripped 240, good luck on getting the parts. unless you have an access to a junkyard full of 240s.

hey if the interior came stripped, its just a step ahead in turning it into a good track car. i agree, as long as it has straight and rust free body, everything besides the engine and full interior is ok, go for it. i debated getting such a car before i got my 'normal' 240 from my uncle.

the other thing you could do is keep it and use it for the parts that remain on it...

when I say missing interior I mean like this:haha...sucks so bad.......I got some more picks here:and finally:

I don't plan on spending more than what it would cost to get a nice 240....like 1500 or 2000.......ya

Given some free time, an IQ >70 and a good junkyard, this is the best thing that can happen to a kid interested in cars. Buy a Chilton's manual, download the FSM and go grab some parts from the junkyard and have at it with your pops or a couple kids from school or something. If you do it yourself, you'll learn so much and have a much better idea about how everything works in general, not to mention knowing how to fix it when it breaks. Nothing can replace real world mechanic experience.Unless it's a bent or rusted pile, keep it and rebuild it. Oh, and don't try "drifting" on the streets, your screenname worries me but I guess it's the fad...

ouch

thats a tough call honestly. it definatly would be worth it in the end, but it would take a lot of time and work. as long as you dont want this car to be your daily driver in a few weeks (obviously), its just like restoring an old car. well technically it isnt like a restoration it is a restoration.

Yeah, that's a little more rough than I had expected. It looks like a *big* job. Also, it looks like there's some rust near the passenger side strut tower.

haha...thats awesome.....so you think I should go for it?......I love working on cars and time is not an issue....money is the only issue.....I have a small steady income around 100 dollars a week...good for being 16 and winter....and I don't want to spend over the amount that it would take to buy one thats good and runs.....I've been debating this for a couple days...any input is greatly apreciated

so what youre basically saying is if you put the work in can you get it going right for 1500 or so without the engine? thats another tough call. it could happen for much less than that, then again you could really get into it and find out it had more problems than you thought...

I hate to say it, but after seeing it, I'd say flush it like yesterday's goldfish.

If the body were rust free and the interior was more...there, I'd say go for it. As it stands, you've got a rusty car with basically no interior and an engine that looks like crap and may not even start.

Maybe you can raise some $$$ by parting out the remaining good bits on the car.

Well, I could be wrong, but it looks like a money pit. Just think of parting it out as adding to the "240SX fund". Besides, you'll get more familiar with how the car is put together from tearing it apart to sell.

In the mean time, keep your eyes open, save your money and I'm sure you'll find a nice 240SX.

Yo that looks like an track car to me...I would take car of the bare-bones-basics and get it ready for some trackaction. On da oder hand if it's going to be your daily car...uh...with some work it could definately be a daily car. It depends on your work ethic and commitment but I would spend a lil more money and time and look for an already streetable car.
