I am selling my turbocivic and plan on turboing an '89 240sx w/ka24de. Before I sell the civic I am taking the turbo kit off. The turbo is a Trust TD04H-15C. Can this be used for a T3/T4 hybrid or is it too small? I'd like to use it cus 1) I already have it 2) its oil cooled not oil and water. Or should I sell it and buy something else? I have a basic idea of what to do, use my current BOV and gauges, larger injectors, etc. Does the MAF need to be upgraded, if yes what should I use? Any suggestions on an FMU? I'd like to run 9-10psi intercooled. Any help would greatly be appreciated, thanx!

Not sure about the turbo you have now. Not familiar with that model. But if you think its too small, it prolly is.

I dont think the MAF NEEDS to be upgraded, but you could go for a Z32 one or use a Cobra one as JWT recommends, but youll need a ECU reprogramming I think. At 9-10psi, youll need bigger injectors, Id spring for some stock 370cc ones from an SR20DET (they should fit the KA fine). They are only about 150 bucks for all 4. And get a higher flow fuel pump as well. As far as FMU goes, you could either go the piggy back or stand alone. But to keep costs low, Id get a rising rate Vortech unit or maybe the one Nsport uses...Cartech I believe.

Well I do not know exactly how big that turbo is but if it say a .42/.48 then it would be ok for 10psi. As far as injectors go you can not use honda ones, they are top feed not side feed like nissans, a FMU can be used with no problems, a vortech 12:1 is probably the safest ratio to get. At that boost level I do not think the MAF needs to be upgraded, mine works just fine at my boost level and I have ran 10psi at the track several times with no problems, for a low budget kit, get silvia injectors and a APEXi SAFC these combined with a FMU and you will have plenty of fuel for 10psi...

Iam not sure if that turbo will be big enough, but since you are only going for 10PSI, a Oil cooled turbo will be effiecent, at high boosts though you would want water to, to cool it down. The maf can be upgraded, JWT uses a cobra, and a z32 maf will fit(so I hear). Some popular management units are:

SDS: http://www.sdsefi.com/ Haltech: http://www.haltech.com/ HKS:http://www.hksusa.com/categories/?id=1073

JWT:http://www.jimwolftechnolgy.com/

Hope that helps, also browsing around and reading alot of the posts could inspire for different turbo options.
