Hi all,i've had a timing chain tensioner failure on my 350z engine which i use in my off road buggie,any ideas what might of caused it?

Most likely with it being an off-road buggy, just overworked and undermaintained. It is a common failure point of the VQ engine, but on engines that are better maintained and driven nicer, it's less of an issue.
