:ohno: I have a 2009 versa that is the 1.8 with 6 speed. I was jumping a friends truck today and his was so dead it caused mine to shut off. well then mine wouldnt even crank. so i checked all the fuses and fount the rr def both of the fuses were blown as well as the EGI fuse. so i replaced all and after that it will crank but not start so i check them again and the EGI was blown so after a little testing found that the second my ignition is turned on it pops the EGI fuse . this is where i need help im not sure what else to do i found some used ecus online for only 100 bucks but really dont want to put that out till i know thats the prob. :ohno: and this is my main trasportaion so i Need it asap .. any advice would be greatly appreciated and Were is the ECU located in the versas

I wish I could help, but I will at least be interested to hear what you find out. I've jumped my wife's Honda minivan a few times and a friend's Sentra, all with no problems. Good luck with yours!

update: i got my car back and it turns out i fried the ecm and a ignition coil so 950 dollars later its fixed. i was told by the technician that we can jump cars just dont do it to a car that has a large 8 cyclinder motor it puts to much draw on the versa he said other 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders are ok just nothing real big especially like the ford e350 that i was doing lol... well lesson learned

Good to know - thanks for the update. I guess I'm lucky my wife has a 6-cylinder, as often as she leaves the interior lights on!
